I am stuck for words-yet again! Bloggers block has struck me – once again!!!While trying to write a prelude to this post, I tried to write a few lines, but I was lost.for words.I even tried the prompts from BlogHer but all I could write was a few sentences.I started to write but the sudden power cut and the failed UPS lead to the loss of those precious words and I am forced to write all over again!!

Last time when this dreaded block struck me, I chose to publish posts from my drafts and hence the days were saved! But now all I have are the photos for the posts but nothing in writing. So I am going straight away to the recipe,or rather the situation that lead me to this post…

I got a couple of hours for myself today afternoon. The two little darlings were fast asleep, something very , very rare and I sat down with a novel. There were a lot of programs on TV,since it is Tamil New Year’s day, yet I choose book over those channels. I needed that peace and quiet.

In spite of the engaging novel, my mind drifted towards blogging. I recollected the time when I used to post 4 recipes a day! I posted a recipe a day with so much commitment that mom was amazed at my ‘sincerity’. Lil Angel needed to be taken care of and my dear maid who was literally a member of our family shifted base.So all the household work fell on my shoulder. Yet, I blogged each and every day without fail. Now, with two lil ones, I have taken it easy. I am tempted to post everyday but hardly find time. And when I do all I can think of is sit peacefully with a novel or catch up with my beauty sleep.

Anyway,as I was telling you, after the trip down the memory lane, I was inspired to post something today and in spite of the pictures that were ready in the drafts, I wanted to make an easy breezy dessert and thus was born this choco balls.A little bit of experimentation that turned into a success…. Presenting to you,a dessert that needs no cooking ,does not need any fancy ingredients and it can be prepared in a jiffy.

I used:
Marie biscuit – 8, powdered
Almond -10 , powdered
Sugar- 1 tablespoon, powdered
Condensed milk – 1 tablespoon
Cocoa powder- 1 tablespoon
Drinking chocolate- 1 tablespoon
Milk for binding
Almond flakes for garnishing
  1. Combine all the ingredients except milk.Mix well.
  2. Add milk , a little at a time and knead to a soft dough.
  3. Apply a little oil to your palms and fingers and pinch out small balls and flatten them slightly.
  4. Serve garnished with almond flakes
Note :

  • You can roll the chocoballs in sugar / powdered sugar.
  • If the balls are sticky, refrigerate for sometime before serving.

Wishing all my readers a very Happy and Prosperous New Year……
