I am sure cookies are every kid’s favorite munch. Why kids, even adults love it! Priya had posted this recipe in her blog and I thought to myself that I would never be able to find the butterscotch chips here. But I was mistaken! The same evening I went to the nearby store to get some groceries and what did I find there!? Boxes of butterscotch chips! I got them home and made this the very next day.

They were a hit and I am sure to bake them more often. Kiddo took it to school for her break time and came back with a sad look on her face. The reason- her friends loved it so much that they ate most of it!

I shared a few of these with my friends daughter, a college going girl and she said she loved it too! So all in all it was a hit, a keeper recipe for sure….

This goes to the Blogging Marathon #40, Week 1 with the theme – Evening Snacks…

I used:
Adapted fromPriya’s Versatile Recipes

All Purpose Flour / Maida- 1 cup
Butter- 1/2 cup
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Butter scotch chips- 1/4 cup
Salt a pinch
Milk- 1 teaspoon if needed

Cream butter in a bowl.Add the sugar and mix well till it dissolves. Add the flour , salt ,butterscotch chips and mix well to form a dough. If it is too crumbly, add a teaspoon of milk.

Pinch out small balls and flatten them into cookies. Place them an inch apart in a baking tray lined with baking sheets.

Bake in a pre heated oven at 350 degree F / 180 degree C for 10 minutes or till the bottom turns brown. It will be soft to touch but will harden on cooling so don’t be tempted to over bake them.

Cool on a wire rack and serve….

Eggless butterscotch cookies is ready to be savored!
