It’s time to post the recap of the month long baking marathon!!! I never thought I would be able to pull it through, but I did! This was by far the easiest one in terms of being prepared. I started around the end of January and got almost all the bakes done before we began posting for this marathon. So there was no rush to bake, click and post the same day which, by the way, is very tough.I learnt it the hard way in one of the previous mega marathons. So this time, I wanted to be ready before we started..If you are new to my blog, here is what we have been doing. A group of food bloggers take part in a food event called Blogging Marathon spearheaded by Srivalli of Spice your Life blog.Every month we take up themes and post 3 recipes per week. And in April and September we run a month long Marathon, posting 26 recipes with the Sundays off.

So far in the mega marathons,as we call them, we did…

September  2014Around the world in 30 days – We traveled across the globe to create some culinary magic
April 2014- Indian food Odyssey– Showcased the cuisines of  Indian states
September 2013A-Z Marathon – Blogged dishes starting with A all the way through Z
April 2013 – Weekly themes…

So in April we did this baking themed marathon. 28 members took part in this marathon and I have to say all the bakes are awesome!!

As such we were not given any sub themes, but most of us took up themes for each weeks to showcase out bakes.

When the baking theme was in the planning stage, discussing what to do, I made a list of things that I must bake. This list ,as always, changed and many a times, I rearranged the categories when I found new and interesting recipes.

And then I made up my mind to post something more than just cakes and cookies and so I did savory bakes too.
