I have made things easier for me this year with the  Eggless Basic Cookie dough . I was hesitant while signing up for the bakeathon this year as I was sure I would not have time to bake new stuffs everyday.

Then I planned to use this cookie dough to make a few cookie varieties. Thank God for this recipe!

This is a very simple and quick cookie and looks colorful too. I have used colored sugar. You can use colorful sprinkles as well.

Eggless Christmas Sugar Cookies

A colorful cookie recipe apt for the holiday season.

Ingredients
  • 200 grams Eggless basic cookie dough
  • Colored sugar red and green - as needed
Instructions
  1. Roll out the cookie dough and cut into desired shape using a cookie cutter

  2. Take the colored sugar in two separate plates. Put the cookies over the sugar and press gently so that it sticks to the cookies

  3. Transfer the cookies onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degree C fr 8-10 minutes. The baking time will vary based on the size and thickness of the cookies.

  4. Once the bottom of the cookies turn brown, remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.Store in air tight containers after the cookies cool down completely.

Recipe Notes
  • You can add any flavor to the dough .I have kept it plain though.

Step by step method to prepare Eggless Christmas Sugar Cookies

Roll out the  Eggless Basic Cookie dough  and cut into the desired shape using a cookie cutter. Spread the colored sugar in a plate and place the cookies over it and press gently so that it sticks on the cookie.

Transfer the cookies onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degree C for 8-10 minutes. Once the bottom turns brown, remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

 Note: 

  • The baking time will vary based on the size and thickness of the cookies. It will be soft as soon as it is baked but will turn crisp on cooling.
  • You can add any flavor to the cookie dough. I have kept it plain.
