Vegan Soya Granules Kheer Recipe with step by step pictures

Before I go on to the recipe,

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!

May everyday of the year glow with good cheers, health and prosperity!!

Well, today’s post is for a double celebration! Yes, it is New year and my blog has completed 10 years and stepping into the 11th year!! My!! I cannot believe that what started as a hobby has turned into a passion!

So the double celebration calls for a dessert post and here it it!

A simple dessert made with an unusual ingredient – Soya granules! Soya granules / TVP or meal maker as it also known is used in savory preparations like gravies, sides and in rice dishes.

I wanted to experiment with it,thus was born this kheer!!

To take off the soya flavor from the kheer, I have used chocolate and coconut milk. It does give a good flavor to the kheer but I must tell you that soya in kheer is an acquired taste.

Initially, the first few spoonfuls were not to my liking. Slowly, the taste buds got used to it and by the time I finished the bowl, I really like the kheer!
