One of my favorite places to buy fresh produce is at the farmer’s market which is known by the name ‘Uzhavar Sandhai’.  It is indeed a blessing that we have one very close to our place and all I need is a small walk to get there.I go there once a week and come back with two bags full of fresh fruits and vegetables.

There is a stall that sells only papaya and the man who runs it always looks grumpy! I have always wondered why he looks so! But that never deters me from buying papaya from his stall. The papaya is usually sweet there and mostly we just cut it up and eat as such.Once we had an overload of this fruit at home and I decided to try a few blends with them. This is the first and its very simple…

I just juiced it with a little ginger and a bit of holy basil. The taste was awesome and the kids who were a little wary but I cajoled them into drinking it and need I say they asked for a second helping!

So this is naturally going to be a part of BM #45, Week 2, Day 3 with the theme – Kid’s Potluck Party theme for the 6th Anniversary celebration of Srivalli Kid’s Delight event

I used

Papaya – 1, small,peeled and cubed
Holy basil / Tulasi/ Tulsi leaves- a few
Ginger- 1″ piece
Honey to taste

Blend all the ingredients .Add water adjusting to suit the consistency you prefer.Serve chilled

Bon Appetit…
