After the excitements of the day and the non stop chatter throughout the night, we slept just for an hour or so and then we were ready to start the events for the day. The day was jam packed with various sessions and outings.

Our first stop was the beach!

Loved watching the sun rise and the sight of the beach and the water was really refreshing considering that most of us had slept for just an hour or so!

Like kids building sand castles, we wanted to make a mark on the sand….

After the nice walk on the beach we decided to head out for breakfast. Before heading out for the day there were discussions like should we cook at home or have a few snack and then head out of lunch or have breakfast outside. But finally it was decided that we head out for breakfast and we had it at Woodlands. Lil Dude  enjoyed a vada while I emptied a plate of idli-vada. Given that I am not a ‘idli person’, I enjoyed eating it while chatting with Kalyani and Pradnya..

Then we headed home to change and go out on a shopping trip to waltax road.We went to a shop that sold anything and everything one needs in relation to baking! I felt like a kid in a candy store!! In spite of the urge to pick up most of the stuffs I knew I had to pay for the excess baggage on the way back home as we were pretty much loaded with gifts the previous day.So I just picked up a jar of fondant and a lace mat.

The next stop was a prop shop which I avoided consciously. I knew I would pick up everything in set my eyes on!So I proceeded with a few of the members to the lunch place.Only at night did I feel that must have gone with the rest of the folks. And it intensifies when I looked at the props that Gayathri had puchased.

Anyways, we settled in for lunch here…

Padma Rekha’s husband who works with the E, had organized a whole lot of activities for us. The first one being a delicious spread for lunch..

This is a sample of what we had for lunch…

And the desserts were awesome!!

Lil Dude loved the noodles and all of the desserts. I managed to sample all the dishes that were on the buffet menu.

After lunch we roamed around the hotel…

Then came the big suprise- Cookery Demos!! A huge thanks to Padma’s husband for arranging this for us.Also a big thanks totheir GM -Mr.Gaurav Gupta,Sou’s chef-Mr.Hari babu,Bakery chef-chef ramesh,Executive chef-Mr.balaji.

First the chef taught us to make some traditional South Indian dishes for our North Indian friends to learn. Ragi – Drumstick adai and Kara kozhukattai were prepared and they tasted awesome!

Lil Dude who was running around the whole day fell asleep and my dear friends helped me in taking turns to hold the lil one so that I could also watch the demo. Thanks a bunch girls. Really appreaciate your help ๐Ÿ™‚

Next we the pastry chef made some chocolate mousse, tiramisu and homemade chocolates…

Everything tasted so delicious!!!

The chocolate shack, a birthday cake and some of the garnishes that were displayed there…

It was a wonderful experience seeing and learning from famous Chefs who made us feel at home in their workspace!!

We then got home to change and go out for dinner…

The organizers had arranged for their families to be come and join us for dinner!!!The moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted by Srivalli’s family. We went inside and this sight welcomed us…

We met Srivalli’s, kamalikas and Nandinis family. The kids got along so well and started playing around immediately! It was such a cute sight indeed….

Dinner was elaborate and loved it to the core. There was everything from soups to desserts and I am sure it was planned keeping in mind the kids favorites..

And the dessert…

Brownie and ice cream…

We had a nice time chatting with every one present and watching the kids play together. We returned home late and we were quite sad as the meet was going to end the next day and Usha had already left that noon..

After chatting a little, we went to bed to get ready for the next days events….

Here are the pics of the day….

Hope you enjoyed this post..Do come back later for the Day 3 events….
