I can hardly believe that it is the last dish for Week 1 in Blogging Marathon #56!! And what’s even more harder to believe is how I managed to cook, click and post as per schedule in spite of starting just a week ago.Yes, I still have a lot of cooking and clicking to be done, but somehow for this marathon I am far more relaxed than I was for the other marathons!

Anyway, today’s dish is a classic Mexican Combo. An all time favorite and absolutely delicious – Chip and dip combo….

I made this last weekend the kids were eager to see what I was going to serve them when I mentioned that I would be frying some chips. After a while Lil Dude had a confused look on his face and asked why I was frying chapathi when I had promised him chips. I think the Lil guy was expecting home style potato chips while I had a totally different thing in my mind!

Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed the chips and this was what the kids and me had for lunch that day. It was absolutely a divine combo and I really wished I had made some more!!!

While there is an option of baking the chips, I went on to deep fry them as it is nice to indulge once on a while….

So here is the recipe…It is a very simple one actually…

Cut the homemade [or store bought] tortillas into wedges and deep fry. Drain and serve with a cheese dip / salsa…

I served it with a simple cheese dip, pineapple salsa, watermelon salsa,Bender tomato salsa,Corn salsa…

Take a look at all that was served so far on The Buffet On Table…

Bon Appetit…
