Recipe Notes

  • You can add finely chopped capsicum , grated carrot to the batter.
  • If you prefer soft toast, cook on low flame till the raw smell of besan disappears and then remove from griddle.
  • Ajwain / bishops weed can be used instead of cumin seeds
  • Adjust chili powder to taste
  • Finely chopped green chilies can be used instead of chili powder. Since I was serving this to the kids I did not want them to bite into the chilies so used red chili powder.
