Flax seed Raita

A simple tummy friendly cooler.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Flaxseed meal
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/2 small Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 small Tomato chopped
  • 1 teaspoon each Flax seed , chia seeds
  • Large Pinch Cayenne pepper / Red chili powder
  • Mint leaves- to garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk homemade yogurt with a little salt.

  2. Add chopped tomato and onion

  3. Add Flax seed meal /powder.Mix well

  4. Serve garnished with a sprinkle of cayenne pepper / red chili powder, mint leaves and a little flax seed,chia seeds for crunch.

Recipe Notes

  • Use thick plain yogurt / plain Greek yogurt for this recipe
  • Grated carrots, beets can be used along with / instead of tomato and onion.
  • Pepper powder can be used instead of Red chili powder.
