Cheeni Paratha

A delicious Indian flatbread with ghee and powdered sugar as the filling!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Ghee - as needed
  • Powdered sugar - as needed
  • Powdered sugar and tutti frutti for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take the whole wheat flour in a bowl and add a little salt and mix well.

  2. Add water little by little and knead to a smooth ,non sticky dough.Add oil and knead one more ,cover and keep aside.

  3. Pinch out a small ball of dough and roll it out into a circle. Smear a generous teaspoon of ghee and sprinkle powdered sugar.

  4. Bring the edges together and roll out into parathas. Cook on a heated griddle till brown spots appear on each side.

  5. Serve hot as such / sprinkled with a little powdered sugar and topped with tutti frutti.
