A vegan and gluten free Indian flatbread recipe
Heat water in a pan and add the required quantity of salt. Let it come to a rolling boil. Switch off the heat and immediately add the jowar flour and mix with a spoon.
Transfer it onto a bowl.Cover and set aside till it cools a bit. It should not become cold but let it be luke warm.
Add grated cucumber, chili powder, sesame seeds , colored capsicum, coriander leaves and knead the dough.If it is too sticky add a little more flour.It too dry sprinkle very little water.
Pinch a golf ball sized dough and place it on a greased plastic sheet / butter paper and dusting a little jowar flour, roll out gently into a 4" roti. Gently transfer the rolled our dough onto your hand and turn it over onto a heated griddle.
Cook on both side, flipping over carefully, till light brown spots appear on both side.Remove from griddle and repeat for the remaining dough
Serve with a side of your choice.
