Ragi Roti Recipe

A healthy roti made with Ragi and whole wheat flour with the addition of vegetable to add an extra nutritious punch.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Ragi / Fingermillet Flour
  • 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 small Carrot, grated
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour, Ragi flour,salt, grated carrot, finely chopped onion and coriander seeds in a bowl.Mix well.Add water and knead to a smooth non sticky dough.Add oil and knead for a few more minutes.

  2. Pinch out a ball of dough and place on a rolling board. Dusting a little flour, roll into a thin circle. 

  3. Cook on a heated griddle till brown spots appear on both sides.Remove from griddle. Repeat for the remaining dough.

  4. Serve with a side of your choice.
