Yellow moong stuffed paratha

A healthy and filling breakfast dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • For filling
  • 1/4 cup Yellow moong, cooked al dente
  • 1/2 small Onion,finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chaat masala powder
  • A pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take wheat flour, salt in a bowl and mix well.Add water little by little and knead to a smooth and non sticky dough.Finally add a little oil and knead for a few more minutes.Keep aside.

  2. Take the cooked moong in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, chaat masala, salt, onion,coriander leaves.Mix well.

  3. Take a ball of dough and flatten it.Place a tablespoon of filling in the center and bring the edges together.

  5. Roll it out into a circle and cook on a heated griddle till brown spots appear on both sides.Remove from griddle and repeat for the remaining dough.

  6. Serve with a side of your choice.
