A simple and healthy breakfast dish from South India
Take rice , lentils of your choice and red chilies in a bowl and soak it in plenty of water.Cover and keep aside overnight or for at least 5-6 hours.
Drain the water and take some of it in a mixie jar. Add ripe tomatoes and grind to a smooth batter. Transfer into a bowl. Now grind the remaining mixture, adding little water .Do not make a runny batter, it has to be a little thicker than dosa batter.
Add salt, curry leaves, chopped onions and cumin seeds. Mix well
Heat a griddle and pour a ladle full of batter in the center and spread it to a circle. Cook on both sides.
Serve with a side of your choice.
