Tawa Yam Fries Recipe

A dry curry with yam made with very little oil.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Yam,peeled and sliced into small ,thin pieces
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Rice Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Rice Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Instructions

  1. In a vessel add water , the yam pieces and turmeric powder and bring to a boil. Simmer for a few minutes.When cooked al Dente, drain and discard the water.

  2. Take the yam pieces in a bowl, add rice flour, chili powder and salt. Mix well. Place the yam pieces on a tawa and cook in batches till both sides are crisp,drizzling a little oil. Remove from tawa and repeat for the remaining batch.

  3. Serve the tawa yam fries as a part of your lunch menu.
