Eggless Chocolate chocolate chip cupcake recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • Extra chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Sift whole wheat flour and keep aside. In another bowl, take yogurt and sugar. Whisk till sugar dissolves.

  2. Add baking powder, baking soda and mix. After a few minutes, it will turn frothy.

  3. Add oil and mix. Slowly add the sifted flour little by little and make a lump free batter.Add choco chips, cocoa powder and mix to combine but do not over mix.

  4. Line a muffin tray and fill fill each one upto 3/4th and sprinkle more chocolate chips on top,Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degree C for 15 minutes or till a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack.

  5. Chocolaty chocolate chocolate chip cupcakes are ready to be served.

Recipe Notes

  • This can also be baked in a pan .
  • I used half the quantity of batter prepared from the above mentioned  measurements and got 9 regular sized cupcakes.
  • You can sift cocoa powder and whole wheat flour and then use as mentioned. I added it last as I wanted to make a plain cake and then a chocolate one.
