A simple and delicious kheer made with Jackfruit
Heat a little ghee in a small pan and put in the raisins. When they puff up, drain and transfer to a plate.Into the same pan, put in broken cashew and roast till golden brown.Drain and keep aside.
Cook moong dal with enough water, mash and set aside.
Deseed and finely chop the jackfruit.
Heat ghee in a pan and add the chopped jackfruit bits.Saute for a couple of minutes.
Add milk.Simmer for 5 minutes and then add the cooked moong dal.
Simmer for 5 minutes and then add the cooked moong dal.
Switch off the heat and add a little cane sugar ,the roasted raians and cashew. Mix well.
