A simple Indian dessert made with apple.
Heat ghee in a pan and add broken cashews.Roast till golden brown and remove from pan. Keep aside.
In the same pan add grated apple and cook till it thickens a bit. Add sugar. It we loosen up . Stir once in a while on medium heat. Add a little ghee.
The mixture will thicken on cooking. Now add a little orange food color. Mix once again
As soon as the halwa gathers into a single mass, add roasted cashews, mix and remove from heat.
Apple Halwa is ready to be served!
