Soak the kambu sevai for 5 minutes
Heat a vessel for steaming and grease an idli plate / dhokla plate.
Drain the water and spread the sevai over the steaming plate
Steam for 10 minutes and remove from heat.Open the steamer and let it cool a bit
Meanwhile, heat a pan with oil and add mustard , cumin, channa dal , curry leaves, red chilies.
Once the mustard pops and dal turns brown, add onion and saute till soft
Add tomato and cook till mushy
Add paneer,turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt and mix well.
Add the steamed sevai and mix gently till combined.
Serve as such or with coconut chutney
