No cook Sweet Poha / Vella Aval Recipe

A simple and Iron rich dish made with pressed rice and jaggery

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Poha / Aval /Pressed Rice
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery to taste
  • 1/4 cup Coconut,grated
  • A pinch Cardamom Powder
  • Nuts and raisins to garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the poha and drain.

  2. Sprinkle a little water and cover and keep for 15 minutes/ till the poha is soft.

  3. Add jaggery, coconut and cardamom powder

  4. Serve garnished with more grated coconut, nuts and raisins
