Custard with Gulab Jamun Recipe

A delicious make ahead dessert that tastes out of the world and does not take too much of your time either!

Ingredients

  • 5 tsp Custard powder
  • 2 cups Milk
  • Sugar to taste
  • Gulab jamuns as needed.
  • Chosolate chips to garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the custard powder in a little cold milk and keep aside

  2. Heat the remaining milk with sugar and once it boils pour in the custard slurry

  3. When it thickens slightly remove from heat and transfer into a bowl and keep in the fridge till needed.

  4. When serving place the chilled custard in a serving bowl and top with aone or more jamuns.

  5. Garnish with a few chosolate chips and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

  • You can use ready to serve jamuns available in the market
  • Praline, chopped nuts can be used as garnishes
  • Don't let the custard thicken too much on cooking as it will further thicken on cooling!
  • Increase / decrease the milk to get the desired consisteny for the custard
