A quick fix dessert with bread!
Remove the crust from the bread
Cut the bread into diagonal pieces / bite sized squares
Deep fry the bread pieces in oil till golden brown , drain and keep aside
In a pan, heat together sugar and water. Let it boil. The syrup should be slightly sticky. Remove from heat.
Dip the fried bread slices in sugar syrup till well coated.
Arrange on a plate and garnish with chopped nuts / dried fruits. I used Tutti frutti.
