Mixed Vegetable Raita Recipe

A quick and simple side for flavored rice dishes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh , thick curd / yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Chopped / grated Mixed vegetables [ carrot, cucumber , raw mango, onion, tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Chili powder as needed
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. In bowl, take curd and salt and whisk well.

  2. Just before serving, add the grated / chopped veggies and mix

  3. Transfer to a serving bowl.

  4. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, red chili powder

  5. Garnish with coriander leaves

  6. Mix gently and serve as a side

Recipe Notes

  • I used a mix of grated and chopped vegetables.
  • Can be had as a snack as well.
  • Tastes best when served chilled[as a snack]
  • Instead of roasted cumin powder, chaat masala can be added.
  • I did not season / give tadka for this raita. If you prefer tadka, you can heat a little oil and season with mustard,cumin seeds, broken red chilies, curry leaves and pour over the raita.
