Potukkadalai Ladoo Recipe

A simple 3 ingredient dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fried gram / potukkadalai
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Take all the ingredients in a mixie jar.

  2. Grind to a powder


  3. Transfer to a plate and immediately make the ladoos

  4. Serve / store in an air tight container

Recipe Notes

  • You can increase the sweetness if needed. This measurement was just right for us.
  • Start making ladoo while the mixture is still warm after grinding. So you will not need a binding agent like ghee / milk
  • If you are unable to make it immediately / it won't hold shape, sprinkle milk and make balls / add ghee little by little and make the ladoos.
  • You can also add fried cashews ,raisins etc to the mixture before making the ladoos.
  • I have used a mix of white and black sesame seeds.
