Today the bread winner of the family turns a years wiser. So its only apt to celebrate it with sweets.I made not one but 2 delicious and very quick sweets for the occasion.

No Cook Fruit and Nut Squares and  MW Wheat Flour Ladoo

Today I will post the recipe for the Microwave Wheat Flour Ladoos.Do come back tomorrow to savor the No cook Fruit and Nut Squares.

Now coming to the Wheat Flour Ladoo / Churma Ladoo, its a breeze to prepare. No standing in front of the stove to brown the flour and then  continue with the rest of the cooking. It took around 10 minutes to get this ready in the microwave.

Microwave Churma Ladoo

Recipe Source – Red chillies

I used:

Wheat Flour -3/4 th cup
Besan -1/4 cup
Butter-1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar – less than 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder- a pinch
Almond flakes and raisins

1.Mix wheat flour and besan thoroughly and keep aside
2.Melt butter in microwave proof bowl for 2 minutes.
3.Put in the flour mixture and mix well so that there are no lumps. It will have a ‘bread crumb’ like texture.
4.Microwave for 6 minutes on high power, mixing and removing lumps if any at the end of every minute.By the 3rd minute, the flour changes color and the whole house is filled with the aroma of roasted flour.Let it stand in the microwave for a minute and remove from microwave.Keep aside to cool.
5.Add the powdered sugar.[Add half the quantity and check .If required add more.].Mix well so that there are no lumps.

6.Put in the raisins and almond flakes  and shape into balls.[I did not do a good job at that ]
