Finally, Yea finally I am going to post the pizza recipe that I have been wanting to try out for ages! This month Aparna asked us to bake our own bread with the theme pizzas. I was so happy that this reason would give me the chance to bake a pizza!
Since I was doing Pizza, I thought I might as well go towards whole wheat that APF and also made the toppings jut like how Lil Angel would prefer. Her favorite paneer and capsicum with just enough cheese to cover the topping. No, she is not into the gooey, cheesy thing!
I used:
For the base
Adapted from Sharmis Passions
Yields -8- 5″ Pizzas[Thin crust]
Whole wheat flour- 1 1/4 cups
Instant yeast – 1 tablespoon
Milk – 1/4 cup
Water- 1/4 cup
Sugar- 1 teaspoon
Salt- 1/4 teaspoon
Oil- 2 tablespoons
For the topping
Small paneer cubes- 1/2 cup
Tomato sauce- 2 tablespoons
Oregano-1/2 teaspoon
Pepper powder- 1/2 teaspoon
Tri colored capsicum- cut into small piece
Grated cheese
Tomato sauce / pizza sauce as needed
Milk for brushing
In a bowl, take the flour, yeast, salt and sugar.Mix.Add oil, water and milk and knead to a smooth dough.Add milk first and then add water little by little till you get the right consistency.
Knead well .The dough should be smooth and not too sticky.Add a little flour if its too sticky and a little water / milk if it is too hard.C cover and keep till it doubles in volume. After it rises, punch out the air.
Divide the dough into balls and roll out into thin discs. Use a lid to make out circles. Prick with a fork and Brush a little milk over the base.Place the pizza base on a greased tray and spread tomato sauce over it.Add a layer of grated cheese, chopped tri color capsicum, paneer cubes, more grated cheese.
Bake in a pre heated oven @ 180 degrees for 10 minutes or till the cheese melts.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle oregano and red chili flakes…
Homemade pizza is ready to be served….
This is how my Lil Angel loves, with paneer and a little less of cheese… Go on grab a bite….
Bon Appetit…

Am a fan of thin crust pizza, loving topping and too delicious pizza.
paneer pizza..yummy Miss them. Love the ones they serve in India. Perhaps next time I make pizza I should remember to make paneer ones.
healthy and mouthwatering pizza…
I love a good pizza! Yours looks marvelous! It's interesting that the paneer doesn't melt all over the top of the pizza!
