Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake with step by step pictures.
My kiddo has got used to seeing me making list of recipes for the blog. She offers some ideas and many a times they turn out to sensible and something that I wouldn’t even have thought about!
Seeing my protein rich theme list, she casually remarked that there were not many dishes that were kid friendly, meaning almost all of them were main courses or sides.
Then it struck me that I did not write down anything that the kids at home would be eager to try!
I had mentioned in my intro post that I would be posting several simple, day to day recipes in this series.Well, the idea of posting simple recipes came from my kiddo!!
So,here is a simple recipe for a milkshake that the kids will definitely love. The added bonus is that it boosts the protein intake -Protein from the milk and peanut butter.
I have posted banana peanut butter milkshake. So this time, I wanted just the peanut butter to be the highlight.
I have used boost here but you can substitute it with any chocolate flavored drink or cocoa powder. Also I have used cane sugar [karumbu sakkarai] which can be substituted with a sweetener of your choice.
In a mixie jar take milk, peanut butter, boost [or cocoa powder / chocolate flavored drink], sweetener.Blend
Served topped with a few chocolate chips and coarsely powdered roasted peanuts.
Note:
- Adjust the quantity of ingredients to suit your taste
A delicious and protein rich drink that the kids will fall in love with!
- 200 ml Chilled Milk
- 2 tablespoons Peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons Boost
- 1 teaspoon Cane Sugar
- To Garnish Chocolate chips and coarsely crushed roasted peanuts
-
Take all the ingredients [except the garnish] in a mixie jar and blend well.
-
Serve topped with chocolate chips and crushed peanuts.
