After two easy dinner ideas come to this simple and quick Beets Banana Smoothie Bowl Recipe. A breakfast that is colorful and tastes wonderful. Lil Dude is not a fan of beets and bananas or most of the fruits and veggies for that matter, but this color tricked my Lil one to taste this!
I made this sometime back when smoothie bowls went viral on the web and there were so many varieties and variations. Lil Angel was so eager to taste it as she is fond of all these funky type breakfasts and there was literally a minute to set it up for the pic! Don’t be fooled by this unexciting pic. It tastes really good and the nuts surely add to the crunch which is the most interesting part of this dish!
Beetroot is a treasure trove of nutrients. The phytonutrients present in it have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation properties. It is a good source of Manganese and Folate. It also contains Iron, Magnesium, Copper, etc. Click this link to take you to the page with Recipes with Beets that you can try out.
Bananas are another ingredient that is loaded with health benefits. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best-value foods around. So maybe it’s time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, “A banana a day keeps the doctor away!”What say! So here is the link to take you to the page with recipes with bananas that you can try out.
I don’t like the taste of raw beets and I think the kids too share the same feeling. So I used boiled beets in this recipe. Also, I have not used sweeteners as the banana and beets were sweet enough for us. If needed you can use a sweetener of your choice and I feel dates will be a good choice too!

I use to use raw beets in the past. Read somewhere that it is good to consume cooked beets than raw. Since then I always use cooked beets in smoothies and salads. Beets banana smoothie bowl lis one healthy bowl to start the day with.
