I am not writing an elaborate intro for this post. I have just woken up and finished my cup of coffee. I still have to get the breakfast dishes ready before the bread winner leaves to work in a couple of hours.So I am keeping this short…
We had a cute bottle of cinnamon sugar from Kamalika and vanilla essence from Nandini in our goody bag when we met for the Blogging Marathon #50th edition celebration. I have been using everything from the goody bag ever since I got back and this cake was the perfect one to use both the foodie gifts.
This cake is such a breeze to make as it gets done in a minute coz we are baking it in the microwave. A delicious cake to satisfy those sudden cravings!I used small paper coffee cups here and you can use the same or some cute muffin liners.
And so I leave it to that and will go and prepare breakfast while you read through this post on how to make this simple cake….

Apple-1,peeled and chopped
Oats flour / powder- 1/4 cup
All Purpose flour- 3/4 cup
Cinnamon sugar- 1 teaspoon
Powdered sugar-3/4 cup
Baking powder-1/4 teaspoon
Baking Soda-1/8 teaspoom
Tutti frutti- as needed
Vanilla essence-1/2 teaspoon
Take the chopped apples in a blender jar along with the cinnamon sugar and puree without adding extra liquid.
Dust the tutti frutti with a teaspoon of flour and keep aside. Sift together oats powder, sugar,APF,salt,baking powder and baking soda.
Take the apple puree in a bowl and add vanilla essencemilk and oil.Mix.Put in the flour mixture,tutti frutti and gently mix to combine.Transfer the batter into MW safe cups and top with a few more tutti frutti.Microwave on high for a minute / till done.
Let it sit in the microwave for half a minute and remove from MW and serve.
- You can use butter instead of oil
- Also 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon can be used instead of cinnamon sugar.
