Well, most of the days, we have a loaf or at least a couple of slices of bread in the bread box.
So when Srivalli posted the themes for Blogging Marathon #76, I immediately chose Got a toast ready for dinner theme.
With the summer heat being unbearably high, standing in the kitchen for even the shortest period of time to make a meal seems daunting! Easy dishes like these are most welcome and kids can make this themselves with a little help from the adults.

Bread slices
Butter
Peanut butter
Banana slices
Chocolate chips
Chia seeds
Chocolate sauce
Butter a slice of bread and toast it. Transfer it to a plate.
Apply peanut butter on one side and arrange the banana slices over it. Place the chocolate chips a pinch of chia seeds. Drizzle chocolate sauce. Repeat for the remaining slices.
Serve with a cup of coffee / tea / juice. In this hot climate, I prefer to have it with a glass of juice.
Note:
- Chia seeds, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce are optional.
- I have made an Open faced sandwich. You can use another slice of toasted bread on top of the banana and make it like a regular sandwich too.
- You can use nuts / tutti frutti etc to make it more interesting.
- A toaster to toast the bread. I toasted it on a cast iron griddle.
