The final gravy dish with paneer for this week’s blogging marathon is this Quick paneer gravy recipe.
This gravy has marinated paneer pieces in a tomato based gravy. You can marinate this ahead and refrigerate and use it within a day or two.
I drew inspiration for this marinade from my Vietnamese Sweet and sour tofu recipe.
This Quick paneer gravy comes as a blessing when you need a quick side for roti. The paneer chunks are so flavorful and will surely please everyone’s taste buds.
If you don’t have time to marinade the paneer chunks, just add them as such. It will be equally tasty.

Step by step method to prepare Quick paneer gravy recipe:
Take the paneer cubes in a bowl and add tomato sauce, soy sauce,minced giner and garlic and a bit of brown sugar.
Microwave tomato and onion with a little water till soft. Drain and puree without adding water.Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds . When it splutters, add the ground paste and a little water. Bring it to boil. Add coriander powder.
Add salt, chili powder and the marinated paneer cubes. Once it thickens a bit,add coriander leaves and remove from heat.
Serve with Roti / Chapthi
Note:
- You can use the regular paneer as such without marinating it.
- The paneer cubes can be mixed with the marinade and refrigerated for a day or two and can be used as needed.
- Adding brown sugar to the marinade is optional. I added a large pinch.
A super simple curry made with marinated panner cubes simmered in a tomato- onion puree based gravy.
- 200 grams Paneer,cubed
- 1 teaspoon tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Brown sugar
- 3 numbers Tomato
- 4 numbers Onion,medium sized
- 1 teaspoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Chili powder
- Salt to taste
- A handful Chopped coriander leaves

Marinated paneer makes the dish very flavourful , and that paneer sounds really delicious ! The gravy is nice and rich , great share .

I like the different marination to this paneer gravy. It is like you have made an Indo-chinese by marinating the paneer with soy sauce. Looks yum and delicious.
