I am still waiting for the day Lil Dude will start eating fruits on his own.Till that day I will have to continue feeding him by masking the fruits and vegetables into other dishes that he likes. This Vegan Chocolate Dates Milkshake Recipe is one such!
When I served this Vegan Chocolate Dates Milkshake Recipe saying that it was his favorite chocolate milkshake , he immediately drank it off and ran away to continue playing. I was so shocked and it took a couple of minutes for me to register that he actually drank it!
And so my experiments in hiding fruits and vegetables in his favorite dishes continues!

To prepare this Vegan Chocolate Dates Milkshake I used:
Dates,pitted- 6, large
Thick Coconut milk-300ml
Cocoa Powder- 2 tablespoons
Chocolate chips – a few
- Soak the dates in a little coconut milk for a while if they are not soft.
- Else blend the dates ,cocoa powder with a little milk to form a paste, then add the remaining milk and blend well.
- Serve topped with chocolate chips.
Note:
- You can use regular milk too
- I have not used any sweetener as the dates was sweet enough.
- Tastes best when served chilled.
Hahaha, kids would surprise us like this. The vegan milk shake looks wonderful with the chocolate chips on top. No wonder Sid finished it off.
As long as he is having fruits in any form, you don’t have to worry. And a great milkshake here, chocolate and dates form a good combination.
