I really feel blessed to have a small garden around our home. One of the trees that we have is a Drumstick tree that yields tasty drumsticks!
It’s the season now and we are having plenty of this vegetable. So we are giving them off to our neighbors and all of us are enjoying the fresh produce.
Yesterday I soaked rice and lentils for adai. I am literally running our of breakfast and dinner ideas. So I thought of making something with adai batter. The tree in our backyard came to mind. I already have a Murungai Keerai Adai recipe on the blog and thought of some other way to incorporate the leaves into the dish.
I decided to grind the leaves along with the other ingredients and the resultant is this vibrantly colored healthy dosa!
Here are some of the other Adai recipes that you can try out..

- Take rice , lentils of your choice and red chilies in a bowl and soak it in plenty of water.Cover and keep aside overnight or for at least 5-6 hours.
- Drain the water and take some of it in a mixie jar. Add drumstick green / murungai keerai and grind to a smooth batter. Transfer into a bowl.
- Now grind the remaining mixture, along with ginger ,adding little water .Do not make a runny batter, it has to be a little thicker than dosa batter.

- Serve with a side of your choice.
Note:

- If you have the ground batter, grind the drumstick leaves with a little batter and add to the bulk batter. Mix well and use.
