Here is an easy dessert – Wheat Flour Burfi Recipe that you can take along for pot lucks, prepare for a festival or just want something quick and uncomplicated when you are craving for something sweet!

This recipe is very simple and personally my favorite as you don’t need to keep an eye out for the sugar string consistensy. That is something that still terrifies me and I would prefer a sweet without having to worry about the sugar syrup.

This burfi is totally delicious and you can make it very quickly and need not worry about it crumbling or becoming rock hard!

Here is the step by step method to prepare this Wheat Flour Barfi Recipe|Easy Dessert Recipe

Take ghee in a pan and after it heats up a little add the wheat flour and mix

Roast the wheat flour on low flame till the color changes lightly and a good aroma arises. Switch off the heat and add the grated jaggery. Mix well. Due to the heat from the wheat flour, the jaggery will melt and combine to form a dough-like mass. If that doesn’t happen, heat gently on low flame and mix well for a few more minutes.

Transfer this to a pan greased with ghee and press down and even out the surface using a ladle. Sprinkle nuts on top and press them down gently. Let it cool. When it is lukewarm, mark out squares and once completely cook, remove the burfi from the pan.
