Chilli Garlic Noodles Recipe | Easy Dinner Ideas with step by step pictures


When the regular south Indian dinner gets a little boring, the kids want something different, and, that too ‘yum’. We have seen many of these chili garlic noodles versions on Instagram and thought it would be a nice addition to our dinner repertoire.

I have been making this for the past couple of months and its been a success in terms of being quick and delicious and of course its kids approved!

If you are bored of the regular noodles recipes, this one would be a welcome change. You can make it as spicy as you like and we added a little sambar masala for a touch of Indian flavor. This is totally optional. Sometimes we prepare it without this masala too.

Step by step instructions for Chilli Garlic Noodles Recipe | Easy Dinner Ideas

Cook the noodles as per the instructions on the pack.Drain and keep aside.

In a bowl, take chilli flakes, black sesame seeds, finely chopped garlic, finely chopped coriander / spring onion greens,res chili powder, Sambar masala[optional, we love this addition].Heat oil and once it get slightly smokey, pour it over the condiments bowl. It will bubble up and give out a wonderful aroma! Mix carefully and keep aside.Add salt and mix.

Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped onion and saute till soft.Add julienned carrots and capsicum and cook for a minute.Add soy sauce.

Put in the cooked noodles, the condiments with hot oil and mix in gently. Tasty Chilli Garlic Noodles Recipes is ready!

A quick and easy dinner recipe that will have kids and adults craving for more

Ingredients
  • 200 grams Noodles
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 2 tsp Black sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp Finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Sambar masala optional
  • 1 tbsp Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 tbsp Oil Divided
  • 1 medium sized Onion, finely chopped

    This sounds so delicious! I love the chili garlic mixture and that would add so much flavor. My son would love this. Making it for dinner this week.
