Name of the Bake – Galletas con Chochitos
Country – Mexico
Once again I have a colorful cookies to share with you! These cookies are from Mexico and are a famous holiday treats. They are butter cookies decorated with sprinkles. During Christmas time, red, green and white sprinkles are used to depict a Christmas Wreath.
I searched quite a bit to get to know more about these cookies but all I could find was that these are Mexican butte cookies with sprinkles!
For this cookie too I have used the basic eggless cookie dough, which has become a blessing in disguise for me!
How to make Galletas con Chochitos – Step by step procedure
Basic Eggless Cookie Dough -150 grams
Cream- 2 teaspoons
Roll out small balls of the dough and flatten it. With our finger, make a small depression in the center of the cookies.Brush them with cream and dip in sprinkles. Chill for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile pre heat the oven. After 10 minutes, bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 8-10 minutes / till the bottom of the cookie is light brown. Let it sit on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes. Them transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
Colorful cookies are ready to be served!
Colorful Mexican Butter cookies with sprinkles
- 150 grams Basic eggless cookie dough
- 2 teaspoons Cream
Roll our small balls of the dough and flatten them.Poke a depression in the center of the cookies.
Brush with cream ad dip into sprinkles.Chill for 10 minutes
Meanwhile pre heat the oven
After 10 minutes bake at 180 degree C for 8- 10 minutes / till the bottom in light brown in color. The cookies will be soft, leave them on the tray.
After5 minutes transfer onto a cooling rack,
The baking time will vary depending on teh size and thickness of the cookies.
