Name of the Bake – Fairy Toast Cookies
Country -Australia
Fairy Toast cookies! The name itself sounds so enchanting, right! Before I go on about the cookies let me tell you something about Fairy Toasts.
Fairy toasts are one of the most popular snacks in kids party in Australia. These are nothing but buttered toast, topped with rainbow sprinkles.
Now you would have guessed something about these cookies / bikkis as well, isn’t it! Yes, these cookies have been inspired from the cute fairy toasts! They are so easy to bake and the kids will fall head over heels in love with these cute bites.
Here too I have used the eggless basic cookie dough recipe. With this cookie, I finished up the last of the sprinkles that I had sparingly used and saved up for so long.
Step by step method to make Fairy Toast cookies :
I used:
Eggless basic cookie dough – 150 grams
Butter -3 tablespoons
Sugar- 2 teaspoons
Rainbow sprinkles
Roll out the dough into 1/4″ sheet. Cut out a neat square .Mark squares and cut them into triangles as shown below.
Bake these triangles in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 8 minutes / till the edges brown. Let them sit on the baking tray for 5 minutes. Transfer onto a cooling rack. Allow it to cool completely.
Beat together butter and sugar till fluffy.Add a little milk to bring it to a spreadable consistency.Spread a layer of this one side of the cookies. Dip this side on a plate with rainbow sprinkles. The cute cookies are now ready to be served!
