Coffee Flavored Chocolate Chip Cookies with step by step pictures
One of the best things that happened to the blog is the Eggless Basic Cookie dough Recipe! It is one magical basic recipe which can be used in so many ways with the addition of various ingredients and flavors.
I remember posting the basic recipe last year for bakeathon and this year too I have used the same dough to prepare 5 types of cookies.See, this dough is indeed a blessing!
Those who know me also know the fact that I can survive on coffee alone! I have tried out so many versions of coffee and each one of them take turns in being my favorite until I discover a new one!
That being the case, coffee flavored bakes are not to be left out. I have tried out coffee flavored cakes but somehow cookies eluded me!
Finally made this for bakeathon and added a nice dose of chocolate chip as an extra indulgence.
A crispy cookie with coffee flavor and chocolate chips.

To the cookie dough add the coffee decoction/ black coffee and chocolate chip and mix gently to combine. If the dough looks sticky, add a little flour.
Roll out into 1/4 " thick disc and use a cookie cutter to cut the desired shape
Transfer onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper
Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degree C for 8- 10 minutes. The baking time will vary on the thickness and size of the cookie. When the bottom of the cookie turns light brown remove from oven and cool on a wire rack
The cookie will be soft as soon it comes out of the oven but will turn crisp on cooling. So do not over bake it
