The next post under the Ethiopian cuisine is this very simple salad. This too had a lot of variations and in
some recipes lettuce was added and I even found a version that used
nigella seeds! Some had garlic and even berbere spice mix in the
dressing!I went for this version since most of them had made it this
way.

I used:
Tomato- 2, cut into small chunks
Onion-1, chopped
Green chilies- 2, chopped[I used the less spicier variety]
For the dressing :
Lemon juice-2 teaspoons
Olive oil- 1 teaspoon
Pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste
- Mix the dressing ingredients in a bowl.
- In another large bowl, take the chopped veggies .Pour the dressing
over it. Toss to mix. Cover and chill for at least half an hour before
serving.
Serve chilled as a side dish with Injera.
So there you have it- D’ba Zigni and Timitam Salata served with an Injera look – alike! Hope you enjoyed the meal.
Bon Appetit…
