This is such a quick and easy way to make an aloo tikki! No boiling of potatoes or any such thing that needs pre prep. Here is how this recipe came into this blog.
Sometimes I am at loss for after school snack ideas. I look around for some easy recipes and once I spotted this one on Nag’s blog. I made it the same day I set my eyes on it.
Clearly, the kids loved it so much. I was happy that I could make something at short notice!
This month @ Recipe ReDux, the theme is as follows..
Spring Clean the Kitchen
Cook with at least 3 ingredients that are actually in your refrigerator or pantry right now. Try not to go to the store to buy anything new. Give tips on how to make a healthy dish out of whatever you have on-hand.
In accordance to this theme, I used the last of the rice flour and besan[chickpea flour] that I had in the fridge.Potato and onion are ever present in the vegetable basket.Every ingredient that was used in this was already present in the fridge / pantry .This is also the healthier version as it is cooked in a griddle as opposed to deep frying,so I think this dish fits the bill.
