This Apple Cinnamon Shake Recipe is yet another restaurant recreation. As you might be aware I am doing this theme for the 101st edition of Blogging Marathon.
Though I wanted to recreate Dal Makhani, a roti side, I did not have time to click pics so settled for this simple milkshake recipe.
Long time back when we were travelling, we stopped by a restaurant for a break. We decided to have some refreshments before heading to our destination.
On their menu card was this Apple Cinnamon Shake and on seeing the price of the milkshake I almost had a heart attack! I could have bought a kilo of apples and a litre of milk and fed a crowd with that amount!
Surprisingly the regular apple shake was less that half of the Apple Cinnamon Shake price.
Upon inquiring, I learnt that the only difference between the two shakes was the addition of cinnamon! I seriously began to doubt if a dash of cinnamon would be so expensive!
After the trip, I decided to make this at home and my kiddo enjoyed this shake.
Here is how I prepared this Apple Cinnamon Shake
I blended an apple with a little milk . Then added a teaspoon of cinnamon sugar , brown sugar and around 150ml of milk.Blended it again till frothy.
This tastes best when served chilled so I used chilled milk. Also I added a dash of cinnamon powder on top.
If cinnamon sugar is not available use cinnamon powder.
Honey. cane sugar ,brown sugar can be used as a sweetener.
You can add some soaked / blanched nuts or dry fruits and your breakfast shake is ready!

hahaha..I can imagine the shock PJ, happens with all fancy ingredients the restaurant says they added. This is quick and good to make! I enjoyed your dishes and also gave me ideas as I was really looking for difficult ones!
I too get such shocks seeing differences in pricing… maybe there were using cinnamon with a dash of gold! Most of the time I feel it is better for us to make milkshakes at home as it would be so much cheaper! I love this combination, it is something I make when I feel like…
I remember getting shocked at airport seeing the price tag for a cup of coffee. I guess we are just paying their rent, lol. The cinnamon milk shake sounds so flavourful. My daughter would love this.
serious – cinnamon really should not be that expensive to cause such a huge different in price. Anyway I am sure your homemade version tasted even better anyway!
Apple and cinnamon go well and surely your version must have tasted better than the restaurant one.
