While making a list for the Sweets and snacks theme, I made sure that I had to include a ladoo recipe and then finalized on this Dates Sesame Ladoo.
Many times in the past I have mentioned that I love making these kinds of quick and easy ladoo recipes and the ladoo recipes collection now stands at around 20!
These easy Ladoo recipes are made with so many different ingredients and it is so versatile that it can be adjusted to suit your tastebuds.
Sesame seed is one of my favorite ingredient and you can see a collection of 45+ sesame seeds based recipes on the blog.
With plenty of dates in the house and no one wanting to eat them as such, I converted them into a quick ladoo that disappeared within a couple of days!
Except for toasting the sesame seeds, this is a no cook dessert and takes just 10 minutes of your time.
I have not used a sweetener as the sweetness from the dates was sufficient. You can use either black or white sesame or a combination of the two.
Now, lets see how to make this easy peesy dessert…
Step by step method to prepare Date Sesame Ladoo Recipe
Toast the black and white sesame seeds separately in a pan and keep aside.
Once it cools, pulse it in a mixer in short bursts.Remove from mixer. Now blend chopped dates and remove from mixer .Mix both so that the 2 ingredients blend well.
Pinch out a small potion of the mixture and roll into balls. You can also roll the finished ladoos in toasted white sesame seeds to add a nice crunch to the ladoo.
Serve Immediately or store in an airtight container.
A simple 2 ingredient dessert that takes less than 10 minutes to prepare.
- 1/2 cup White sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup Black sesame seeds
- 10 numbers Pitted dates
- 1-2 tablespoons Toasted white sesame seeds to roll the ladoos

Lovely Ladoos ! I too love sesame seeds and the idea of combining the two black and white variations is great . The look that they get is so unique and besides healthy too .
