While making a list for the Sweets and snacks theme, I made sure that I had to include a ladoo recipe and then finalized on this Dates Sesame Ladoo.

Many times in the past I have mentioned that I love making these kinds of quick and easy ladoo recipes and the ladoo recipes collection now stands at around 20!

These easy Ladoo recipes are made with so many different ingredients and it is so versatile that it can be adjusted to suit your tastebuds.

Sesame seed is one of my favorite ingredient and you can see a collection of 45+ sesame seeds based recipes on the blog.

With plenty of dates in the house and no one wanting to eat them as such, I converted them into a quick ladoo that disappeared within a couple of days!

Except for toasting the sesame seeds, this is a no cook dessert and takes just 10 minutes of your time.

I have not used a sweetener as the sweetness from the dates was sufficient. You can use either black or white sesame or a combination of the two.

  1. Lovely Ladoos ! I too love sesame seeds and the idea of combining the two black and white variations is great . The look that they get is so unique and besides healthy too .

  2. Sesame and jaggery ladoo is one of my favorite, mom used to make it for Naga Chaviti which comes 5 days after Diwali. I will definitely try with dates next time. Thanks for the recipe.
