Kids love anything with chocolate and my elder one goes crazy at the mention of Hot Chocolate!So I have been making this for a while now and the lil one has also joined the hot chocolate league!

This recipe is from Sharmis Passions and it turns out great every single time! I have a few more variations of hot chocolate recipes that I will share on the blog soon.

There are so many methods of making this drink and this is one of our favorite!


I have already made this Hot White chocolate that my kids enjoyed and my elder one has been pestering me to make more varieties of this delicious drink!

This dish was saved specially for the Kids Delight event that I am hosting this month with the theme  – Winter Warmers.

Step by step method to prepare Easy Hot Chocolate Recipe

Heat milk and when it starts boiling add cream and whisk well.

Add sugar, cocoa powder and whisk.

Put in grated chocolate and whisk. Simmer and let it thicken a bit. Add the vanilla essence and mix. Switch off the heat

Pour into serving mugs and serve immediately with a sprinkle of cocoa powder

Note:

  • The color of the hot chocolate depends on the color of cocoa powder / chocolate added.
  • Chocolate chips can be used instead of grated chocolate
  • I used Morde chocolate compound bar.
  • Adjust the quantity of sugar to suit your taste
  • The quantity of cocoa powder and chocolate will vary on the brand / quality used.

A quick way to warm up on a cold, winter day!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh cream
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 4 tablespoons Grated Chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
Instructions

  1. PJ, Wishing you all a very happy New Year! This is just the perfect cup to warm up after a day out in the cold. Hot chocolate made from scratch is so delicious when compared to the commercial products that we use.
