Microwave Oats Peanut Butter Mug Cake{Eggfree} recipe with step by step pictures.


I can’t believe that this is the last post for the Mega marathon themed – Protein rich dishes! If you have been following my space, you would have noticed that I have been posting recipes that are rich in protein, following a sub theme each week.

In week 5, I selected Oats and this simple mug cake is the finale dish! This cake gets done in two minutes and has a gooey peanut butter center that is totally delicious!!

Here is how to prepare Microwave Oats Peanut Butter Mug Cake{Eggfree}

Take milk in a bowl and add sugar, oil and whisk well to combine. Add oats and whole wheat flour.

Put in baking powder, salt, choco chips and mix gently.Transfer half of this into a microwave proof mug.

Spread 1 tablespoon if peanut butter and top wit with the remaining batter. Microwave on high for 2 minutes / till done. While still hot quickly spread 1 teaspoon peanut butter and top with more chocolate chips.

Note:

  • The mug that I used was really big. For a regular sized mug, use half teh quantity of ingredients.
  • Nutella can be used instead of peanut butter
  • Chopped nuts / any dried fruits can be used instead of chocolate chips
  • Microwave timings might vary. Keep an eye out after 1.30 minutes.

A quick and simple microwave cake with the goodness of Oats and Peanut Butter

Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons Oats
  • 2 tablespoons Peanutbutter, divided
  • 6 tablespoon Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Chocolate chips as needed
Instructions
