September was an exciting month for me.Posted 26 protein rich dishes, something that I had been wanting to do for a long time!
Some dishes were made ahead and quite a few were made on the day that the post was due. Either way it was an enjoyable experience.
I took up one protein rich ingredient per week and here is the roundup of the dishes that made their way into the series.
Week 1 and 2 – Peanuts – 100g of peanuts contain approx. 25 grams of protein. This is one of the ingredients that is omnipresent in the pantry.Hence it had to be featured!
[riview id=872 num=2000 order=asc showtitle=always lightbox=0]Week 3 – Lentils – The theme wouldn’t be complete if it did not feature lentils! Store houses of protein, make the meal all the more nutritious when taken in combination with a carbohydrate partner.
[riview id=873 num=2000 order=asc showtitle=always lightbox=0]Week 4 – Sundal Varieties – For this week I had planned another ingredient, but realized it was navarathri time! So this became the new theme for the week. Most of the dishes were cooked, clicked and posted on the same day!
[riview id=874 num=2000 order=asc showtitle=always lightbox=0]Week 5 – Oats – One of my favorite ingredient and I had 2 jars full of Oats that needed to be used up.Hence this became the final ingredient in this theme.
[riview id=871 num=2000 order=asc showtitle=always lightbox=0]It was great doing this theme and I hope you enjoyed going through my posts for the month. Do take a look at what my friends created for this series…
