It’s just 3 ingredients , just a few minutes of soaking time and you have a delicious and filling dish ready to be relished!
Poha / Aval is rich in Iron and so is jaggery. This dish is vegan and Gluten free and tastes fantastic!

A simple and Iron rich dish made with pressed rice and jaggery
- 1/2 cup Poha / Aval /Pressed Rice
- 1/4 cup Jaggery to taste
- 1/4 cup Coconut,grated
- A pinch Cardamom Powder
- Nuts and raisins to garnish

Wash the poha and drain.

Sprinkle a little water and cover and keep for 15 minutes/ till the poha is soft.

Add jaggery, coconut and cardamom powder

Serve garnished with more grated coconut, nuts and raisins
