Sugarcane Juice Popsicle Recipe
While it is still snowing on the other part of the globe,we are in the middle of summer here! Summer started early this year and looks like it started with a vengeance!
We are not able to step outside after 9 am and the heat waves continue till 5 pm! The kids need to go to school and so do the adults who numerous jobs to do! It is really becoming difficult to manage in this heat!
While looking for ways to keep ourselves cool during this season, we take in a lot of furuits and juices and one of them is this sugar cane juice. There are two places that sell freshly pressed juice near our home.
A couple of days back, I got almost a liter of sugarcane juice and reserved one portion to make these Popsicle.The lemon and ginger added to this juice make it all the more irresistible!
Since I am participating in the regular April month Mega marathon – Explore the flavors hosted by Srivalli, I will not be able to post the Popsicle recipe during that time. Here is how to prepare Sugarcane juice Popsicle Recipe
A delicious and cool way to beat the summer heat!
- 300 ml Sugarcane Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Mix all the ingredients together

Pour into Popsicle moulds and freeze

When ready to serve , show the moulds under running water to remove the Popsicle from the mould.

Enjoy the delicious Popsicle!
- Try to make these Popsicle as soon as you bring home the juice. It will start decolourizing after some time.
- Addition of ginger and lemon juice are optional but highly recommended. Adjust to suit your taste.ย
- Sometimes, they sell the juice with ginger and lemon added, so you can skip these two while making pops.
Step by step method to prepare Sugarcane juice popsicle
I used:
Sugarcane juice-300ml
Ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice-1 tablespoon
- Take all the ingredients in a vessel and mix well
- Pour into Popsicle moulds and freeze.
- When ready to serve, show the moulds under running water so that it can be demoulded easily.

Like Priya said, we really miss freshly pressed sugarcane juice, we do get it, but no way near what you get in India. Popsicles are a great way to cool down in style!
