The choice for the letter I was made as soon I started making the list for flat breads. I chose Irulli which is Onion in Kannada. I did have choices like Imli [Tamarind] but I was not sure of the recipe so I decided to stick with Irulli.
I made this around tea time today as that was the time I was a bit free to cook and click. I served this to mom and dad and both seemed to enjoy the piping hot parathas. Then I decided to make this for dinner as well as the kids will also like it.
The onion shunning dude happily munched his way through dinner and acclaimed it to be the yummiest paratha he has eaten so far!!
With so much of welcome and appreciation, I am sure I will be making this more often.
This Irulli Chapathi | Pyaaz ka Paratha Recipe is very simple and easy. All you need is a stuffing of finely chopped onion and a few spices.
It is very filling and can be had for breakfast / dinner and even with a cup of tea. It requires no special side dish.We had it with yogurt and the lil one had it as such, telling me that the filling itself was tasty enough to be had without a side dish! And these words coming from him really means he enjoyed the meal!

That’s a yummy looking paratha! And nothing is a better compliment than a kid happily munching on it. Yum yum!
Can imagine how aromatic this paratha will be, interesting and my kind of stuffing. Easy and flavourful one definitely. Brilliant idea to come with this delicious chappathi PJ.
I am sure my older one will love it as she is a total onion freak! Good one, PJ.
With all the spices and onion in the paratha, you don’t even need a gravy to the side. I love onion in rotis and parathas. They give an amazing crunch and flavour. No wonder kiddo loved it..
A wonderful and easy filling for a tasty paratha. Till now I had not used onion to stuff in parathas except for aloo parathas. For this marathon have used onions for so many flatbreads and it tastes awesome.. adding a different kind of flavor to the parathas.
Pyaaz ka Paratha happens to be my favourite . Anytime I don’t like my lunch or dinner this paratha comes to rescue . Perfectly made , I don’t mind picking one to stop my craving right now . :))
Pyaz ka paratha is my family favorite. I make it almost every alternate day still we are not bored of it. You have made it perfectly.
I love the crunch of onion in any dish and this will be my kind of paratha. Next time, I will make a couple of this when making roti for dinner.
Onions rotis have always been the special roti made for me when it was nonveg meal for the rest. I will always look forward to that day in the week during growing up. Your version has turned out great…And picking a word from kanada is a fantastic twist yaar!
This paratha is great option for breakfast.. awsome.
