Peek Into The Past – Best Of The Year 2019
This year literally whizzed past! I saw January and then all of a sudden its December! I really don’t know where the rest of the months went!!
Each year we look back at what we did in the past year and I do this post along with the BM members and when I sat to write I literally don’t know what to write for this post!
I looked back at the other Peek into the past posts [2008 ,2009,2010, 2011, 2012, 2013,2014,2015,2017,2018] and there was so much written and shared.
Anyways, let me do a small recap of what happened around Seduce Your Tastebuds in 2019.
- Hosted – Kids delight – Frozen delights , My Legume Love Affair , and currently hosting Kid’s delight – Easy Breakfast Ideas for kids
- Restaurant reviews – #6 Planet Barbeque, Coaster Fries ,
- Mega Marathon – Sadly, I could not do any Mega marathons this year.
- Total number of posts this year – 77.The lowest number ever since I started the blog!
- Book Reviews on the blog – 25
- Total posts till date – 2519!!
A huge disappointment this year was that I could not join my friends for the BM meet in Hyderabad! I was happy to see the pics that they shared and missed the meet even more!
I did a lot of reading this year and all the books that were read are here on the Goodreads shelf.
So coming to what will be happening in Seduce your tastebuds next year? Well, I plan to make a couple of posts each week and taking part in Blogging marathon is definitely going to help.
This year I could not participate in the mega marathon even though I had the list of dishes ready. Next year I will somehow plan and execute the dishes for the mega marathons.
I have to make some kids breakfast ideas posts and that will elaborate the small list already present here.
If possible look into things that will gain a little more visibility for the blog. I still don’t know what I should be doing but will have to something as there are so many posts that I took pains to cook, click and post yet are not getting the proper the recognition for it!
I have a huge, huge, huge list of bookmarked recipes and would love to try out at least 30% of it. Then there are those lovely cookbooks that I have collected over the years and Srivalli has this wonderful event – Cooking from the cookbooks for which I need to try out some recipes.
As for reading, last year I set a goal of 50 books and completed 60 books. Thanks to all the wonderful authors, book groups and publishers that made it possible.Yes,most of my reads were review copies! For 2020, I will set a goal of 75 books and hopefully will finish those.
I seriously need to stop buying books but i can’t seem to resist those super tempting offers. I have cut down a lot but need to bring it down further.
So this is pretty much what happened in 2019 and what has been planned for 2020.And this end of the year recap is specially for Srivalli’s Best of the year 2019 event.
